Psalm 39: 4&5

4. Show me, Lord, my life's end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is. 5. You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Everyone is but a breath, even those who seem secure.

These words are so powerful- especially in today's age. We use "YOLO" as an excuse to do what we want, to party, to drink, do drugs, lie, cheat, and so many other terrible things. We should NOT use our numbered days as a chance to let our hearts be played with like cards or drink alcohol like water!
God has given us numbered days on earth, however everyone spends forever somewhere. Hell or Heaven. We should treat our days like a baby- let me explain why. We take of our babies- whether we're oohing and cooing over someone's else's or our own.  We feed them. We nurture them.  Give them time. We need to take care of our days by not being lazy, have eternal value in the things we do, take each chance God gives us to share His truth. We need to feed our days by learning and doing things that will help others, things God puts on our hearts, and things that will help us in our growth. Sitting down for two weeks watching tv isn't helping anyone (except people in the movie industry). We need to nurture them by doing the right things. Don't act on whatever words come to mind. THINK and treat and nurture your days so you don't regret them. Give your days time by not doing every single thing available for you. Being busy all the time is not good for you! You HAVE to have down time! You need time to recharge and to read your Bible and have one on one time with God. You see? God has given us our days certain number of days for a reason. We have purpose and we need to recognize our days are not our own! They belong to God and we need to serve Him with them! I urge you to go along with me by remembering our days are numbered, we have a purpose, and that there is so much more to life than what our society thinks.

Dear God,
Thank you SOOO much for numbering our days, for giving us purpose, and for loving us. I ask that we would constantly remember this calling you've put on our hearts to live for you and not for the world. You have blessed us with a life that we can only repay you by living it for you! Amen!
