John 3:30
30. He must become greater; I must become less.
I am guilty as well. Walking through life and sometimes picking what I want instead of what He wants. We are always so caught up in only what we want and what we want to do and where we want to go and so on and so on. We can be in a room full of people, watching the news, driving by a broken down car, walking through a hospital and the only things running through our mind is, "ME! ME, ME, ME, ME, and ME!!!!!" We take up so much space in our hearts, mind, and thoughts all about ourselves. But God has an AMAZING plan and we are just so stubborn! We have a such a hard time giving ourselves up to God and letting Him take over! When we give up our plans and embrace the one He has for us we start making our live more about God than us. Not only do we feel different, but people see us differently as well. When our hearts are changed- we change. And people see that change.
When we make it more about God we care more about others and we thrive on sharing His word. I urge all of us to make that change. Change our lives from being "me focused" to "God focused".
Dear God,
I pray that no matter the plans we have, the struggles, the things holding us back, or any road block we see that we recognize making our lives more about you is what we need to do. I ask that as we make that change you would work through us to accomplish your plans. It's in Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
