Tea For The Weekend: A London Fog Recipe

Saturday, September 10, 2016

Good morning to all of my lovely readers! I absolutely LOVE tea as you all know, but once in awhile I like to change it up with a creamy tea latte!  So today I bring to a recipe of my version of a London Fog.
Ingrediants:
1 cup of water
1 cup of 2% milk
1 Tbsp of heavy whipping cream
1 Tbsp of a Teavana mix of Earl Grey Creme and their Lavender Dreams
1 Tbsp of whole French Blue Lavender
1 Tbsp of Organic Vanilla Extract
1.5 Tbs of raw sugar
2 Tsp of whipped cream

Put the water into a small pot.  Mix in the tea leaves, lavender petals, and vanilla extract.  Heat on high, let it go until boils.

After you put all the ingrediants in the water move on to putting the milk, heavy whipping cream, and sugar into a separate pot.  Heat it on high.  When it begins to boil lower the heat to simmer, and pour the water and tea mixture into the milk pan while using a strainer to take out the tea leaves and lavender (after the tea has already come to a boil).  Let it simmer for two minutes and put the London Fog into desired cups or tea pot.

For decoration I put two teaspoons of whipped cream in my cup after I poured it, let it melt, and then I put a pinch of lavender petals on top. Serves two 8oz. servings.
Happy London Fog making!
How do you make your London Fog!?
