Galatians 12:1

For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.

When you get dressed in the morning, apply for that certain job, try out for that school event, hang out with a certain person or group of people, or say something who do you do it for? Do you do it because God wants you to?  Did you hang out with those bad influential people because God wanted you to? Did you say that bad word because God wanted you to? You are you seeking approval from? God or people?  When you seek approval from people you are slaves to them! Okay, so you may not do their dishes and wash their feet, but you will do what it takes for them to accept you.  God loves you UNCONDITIONALLY!!! Did you get that? I'll say it again.  God loves you UNCONDITIONALLY!!!!!!!! You don't have to earn his love or acceptance.  He doesn't want you doing things against His will because He is all you need.  Do you ever find yourself seeking acceptance from people? Do you stop yourself when you catch it? How can you change to start living for God and not for the people around you?

Dear God,
I ask today that you would sink this so deep into our hearts and minds, that we would realize the importance of living for You and not for man, and that we would put this into action and be an example to others.  I pray that we would constantly remember that your acceptance is so much greater and your love is eternal compared to the people we try to earn acceptance from.  It is in Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
